We’ve reached the last European city on our tour. We ended in Amsterdam as it’s the cheapest place to fly to New Zealand from. As we’ve been to Amsterdam before we decided to try something different, going up the A’dam building and playing on their swing!
Selfishly ignoring Eleanor’s fear of heights we were swung over the edge giving a unique view over the city.
The rest of our time in Amsterdam has been exploring the city and seeing the last of the Autumn leaves to fall. On the food note I finally experienced FEBO, fast food without talking to anyone. The introvert’s dream! Amsterdam has so many cheese stores, the same one we found in Vienna so I’ve personally loved eating a lot of free sample cheese. We also visited our old favourite, ‘The Old Dutch Pancake House’, a must for anyone visiting Amsterdam!
Tomorrow before our flight we are going to ‘The Catboat’, a refuse for stray and abandoned cats located on the canal. Then on to New Zealand…goodbye Europe, see you next May!
you wouldn’t get me on that swing!!!
hope the flight goes well
love you both
