The Hamilton Gardens had several sections with different themes – all free to look around! Afterwards we walked into Hamilton central to find the Richard O’Brien statue featuring Rocky Horror themed toilets!

Egmont National Park & Opunake
Egmont National Park contains Mount Teranaki, a beautiful volcano in the teranaki region. The day we originally planned to see it was tipping down with rain. The second day it was covered in clouds. We drove up to the visitor centre and planned to camp there over night. It was so cold in the middle of the day I did not want to find out how cold it would be at night…hence the unexpected stay in Opunake! Leaving the next day Eleanor managed to take a few pictures of the mountain from afar.
