Wellington
A place we’ve never been! (lol). We stayed near Island Bay and saw wild seals. We also used the time to go back to all our favourite Wellington eateries.
Castlepoint
Nice beach walks including dunes and a lighthouse. We stayed right next to the ocean with lots of tsunami posters warning what to do if it occured. Restful night for Eleanor!
Napier
I absolutely loved Napier, the art deco capital of New Zealand. Most of the central town was rebuilt after the 1931 earthquake. Whilst we were there we visited the weekly farmers market in Hastings.
Huka Falls & the Craters of the Moon, Taupo
The Huka falls is on the Waikato River near the “Craters of the Moon”, a geothermal walkway with bubbling craters and steam vents! Afterwards we stayed in Taupo 🙂
